PhD Program
The Department of Talmud guides its advanced students in writing research papers toward obtaining their PhD, both within the regular track and the integrated track (refer to the university's doctoral studies regulations).
A. Admission Requirements
- A master's degree from a recognized academic institution with a thesis.
- For the integrated track, students who specialized in Talmud or Oral Torah to the extent of a major subject and excelled in their studies will be accepted.
- A master's thesis in Talmud: a completed thesis or thesis-equivalent work for students who did not write a thesis within their master's degree.
- A personal interview.
B. Requirements
- Writing an advanced research paper (dissertation) under the guidance of a supervisor from the department.
- Participation in courses. The study program will be personally determined by the department head for each student, taking into account their previous studies and research field, and in coordination with the supervisor.
- Participation in student meetings on research throughout the studies.
